Soon our customers began requesting additional support for the products and instruments we were distributing. The most common and urgent request was for local calibration services. This led to the set-up of our calibration laboratory for optical radiation quantities, which is accredited by the DKD (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst) and the German National Laboratory PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt). This accreditation (registration number DKD-K-10601) includes the measurement quantities of Spectral Irradiance and Spectral Responsivity. As part of this, our laboratory is ISO/IEC/EN 17025 (formerly EN 45001) certified ensuring the best possible reliability, repeatability and reproducibility of our instruments and calibration services.

In 1998 we introduced our own line of optometers, radiometers, photometers, detectors, filters, input devices, integrating spheres and associated accessories to offer our customers complete light measurement solutions. Together with over ninety years combined experience in the business, we present ourselves as an ideal partner for all kinds of light and optical radiation measurement applications. In 2001, we opened our U.S. subsidiary, Gigahertz-Optik Inc., in Newburyport, Massachusetts, in order to offer our high quality products and services to U.S. and Canadian customers.
