In the Set-up screen the user can select the measurement parameter of interest. Set-ups can be stored and reloaded to standardize measurement routines. Selection of the hardware configuration is assisted with brief instructions and graphic. Only set-ups available in the initialization file of the system configuration are shown in the scroll list.
In the Mode screen the measurement mode is selected. The Short Time measurement mode, of interest for measurement of high power LEDs, requires the X4 Light Source Controller with LPS-20 power supply .
The Offset mode enables noise and dark signal compensation.
The Correction mode can be activated to improve measurement quality.
The narrow band correction is beneficial for color measurements of light sources such as LEDs that emit over only part of the visible spectral region. Here the chromaticity calculation is done only with the detected noise signal in that particular color zone. The narrow band correction prevents the noise effect.
The a(Z) online correction strategy employed in the BTS light analyzer is only valid within the measurement range of the diode array. Manual simulation strategies are offered for measurements outside of that range.
