In some cases, acquiring a measurement system for a specific task may be too extensive, especially if the measurement is a one-time or infrequent requirement. In such instances, we, as a measurement equipment manufacturer, also offer contract measurement services. This can be particularly advantageous when an application is just starting up and purchasing a measurement system is not yet economically viable. The services we provide are based on the capabilities of our measurement instruments as well as the scope of our ISO 17025 accredited measurement laboratory.


Contract measurement can also be a practical step to gain hands-on experience with the intended measurement system or to obtain additional information such as measurement uncertainty assessments. Please also refer to our training courses and other services.

We are also at your service for safety-relevant measurements such as radiant power, UV hazard, blue light hazard, and other applications. Laboratory Testing and On-Site Measurements According to Standards

At our permanent laboratory in Türkenfeld near Munich, we test your lamps and lighting systems in accordance with the latest CIE standards as well as DIN EN IEC 60598. We cover all common optical safety standards. If your test specimen is too large for shipping, we are happy to perform the measurements directly on-site at your location! Whether it’s laser equipment testing according to DIN EN 60825, photobiological safety according to DIN EN 62471, or machinery testing according to DIN EN 12198 — we are here to support you.

UV Safety Measurements and Blue Light Hazard Assessment

The rise of LED technology has introduced new health risks due to excessive blue light exposure. To address this, the DIN IEC/TR 62778 standard was developed for assessing blue light content. Additionally, UV light is increasingly being used for disinfection purposes, such as in air purification systems described in DIN/TS 67506. These applications must also be tested for radiation safety in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15858.

On-site Services
Safety TestingWhen using various light sources—from simple LEDs to high-power lasers—safety testing is essential. These tests are typically conducted in specialized labs, but this isn’t always feasible for large installations. That’s why we offer on-site safety testing, for example according to DIN EN 12198.

RecalibrationRecalibration is an essential part of any quality management system. However, it takes time and usually requires shipping the equipment. The resulting downtime can make on-site recalibration an attractive alternative. Another reason for on-site service is when the device cannot be transported.

Spectral AnalysisDue to the widespread use of LEDs, knowing the precise spectral distribution of light sources is crucial—especially in the UV and blue light range because of standards such as DIN IEC/TR 62778 and DIN EN ISO 15858. Spectral evaluations are also relevant for applications such as Human Centric Lighting (HCL) or workplace safety in office environments.
